Send SMS

There are some steps to create New SMS for Send SMS or saved as Draft or Template :

1. Click Create SMS from the main Form, and the New SMS form will shows up.

2. When using PC SMS Gateway Server, select Device for Sending this SMS, in this example the Device used are GSMDEVICE1. Make sure the selected device is active.

3. Subject is for archiving purpose, and not will be displayed on Message.

4. Schedule. To send SMS on specified schedule, please see detailed on how to Send SMS on Specified Schedule.

5. SMS priority. Higher SMS priority will be in the upper queue in Outbox Queue. The Outbox Queue order based on , SMS Priority, Scheduled(scheduled SMS get higher order), Created Date.

6. SMS Options :

Flash SMS : Send SMS as Flash SMS. SMS Message directly displayed on recipient Mobile Phone.

Long SMS : Enabled Send SMS in multiple part of the message.

Character Encoding :

- Auto : Auto detect Text Message Character type

- GSM 7 bit : Text Character using default GSM 7bit. (160 character / SMS)

- Octet 8 bit : Text Character using octet 8 bit. (140 character / SMS)

- Unicode 16 bit : Text Character using Unicode 16 bit. (70 character /SMS)

Status Request : Enable SMS Status Report (not supported by all phone/modem)

Request Reply : Enable SMS Request Reply.

7. Type the Message.

8. If Message using Unicode Text ( language character such as Russian, Arabic, Thai), the SMS Options for Character Encoding should be Auto or UCS2(16 bit)

9 . Insert Variable Tag for " Mail Merge", the Variable Tag will be filled with the Variable Value on SMS sending process.

10. Click Recipient Tab to edit recipient list.

11. Choose tab for selected 4(four) kind mobile number source list :

- Contact. List from Phonebook Contact

- Group. List from Phonebook Group.

- Enter mobile no. Enter the mobile number by typing it.

- Import. Import mobile number source list from text file.

12. To add Mobile Number to recipient list :

- Double click the source list (Contact, Group,Enter mobile no., or Import) list , or

- Click ">" button to Add Selected

- Click ">>" button to Add All.

13. The Copy, the number SMS received by a recipient, could be set other than 1.

14. Select Contact Tab to add SMS recipient from Phonebook Contact.

15. Select Group Tab to add SMS recipient from Phonebook Group.

16. Select Enter Mobile No. tab to add SMS recipient by typing the mobile number.

17. Select Import Tab to add Mobile Number from text file(*.txt) that containt Mobile Number list. Click Load From File and select the text file.

18. To Send this SMS, click Send button, and the SMS will be added to Outbox, queued for sending process.

19. SMS on Outbox could be viewed on Outbox Queue.

20. The sending process is Sending SMS to the SMS Service Centre, after the sending process finished the SMS moved from Outbox folder to Archive folder.

21. The result of sending process could be viewed on Archive Log. To view Archive Log, Open SMS on Archive Folder and select Log tab.
