Execute SQL Script On SMS Received

1. Activate Execute SQL Script On SMS Received

When an SMS is received into the PC SMS Gateway Server, it could be set to execute some SQL Script.

 

2. Create SQL Script

To create SQL Script using SQL Editor, click the button on the side of the SQL Script edit box. The Value Tag representating the received SMS properties value.

 

3. Database Connection Settings

To use same Database Connection as "SMS DB Connection" , left the Use "Custom DB Connection" unchecked.

3. Database Connection Settings(Use another database than SMS DB Connection)

To use another database than SMS DB Connection, check the "Custom DB Connection".

We assume you have configured the ODBC user data source/ system data source in Windows>>Control Panel>>Administrative Tools>> ODBC

i. Choose "Database Connection" tab.
ii. Click Connection String button. After Connetion String form is showed up, click "Build" to show "Data Link Properties".

iii. On "Data Link Properties" on the "Provider" tab, choose Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers, then click "Next" to set "Data Link Properties>>Connection"

v. Enter data source name to be used and information to log on to the server. The current example using "GENESTER" ODBC data source.
Click "Test Connection" to testing the connection, if the connection is succeed the "Test connection Succeeded" message box is showed.
